Manganate x Pistache du Cassou, by Baroud III
Nivour
de Cardonne first was an outstanding racehorse. His record is
4/17(6-5-2), $302,000. His biggest win came as a 5-year-old
when he won the richest, most prestigious Arabian race in the
world, the Kahayla Classic run on Dubai World Cup Day. Then
to further prove his durability, he finished second in the same
race as a 7-year-old.
He
now brings some of the best available French lines to American
breeders. He is by the foundation race sire of France, Manganate,
sire of many stakes winners, including VANESSA DU LOUP (California
Champion), DORMANE (1st Dubai S., etc.), DJENDEL
(1st Emirs Cup, etc.), MADJEL (1st Polish Derby, etc.).
He
is out of an unraced daughter of Baroud III and from one of
the finest French female families. She is the dam of French
stakes winner, BAROUR DE CARDONNE and granddam of JEHOL
DE CARDONE. His dam is a half-sister to RUBIS DE CARRERE.
From his first 2 foal crops, NIVOUR DE CARDONNE sired 2 Darley winners: OUR MACHINE (Darley Champion 3-Year-Old Colt of 2007), and DIXIES VALENTINE (Darley Champion 3-Year-Old Filly of 2008). NIVOUR DE CARDONNE has also sired other stakes winners including LATER ALA GATOUR (winner of the Dr Sam Harrison Distaff), A SECOND WIND (winner of the Yellow Rose Arabian Stakes), A LADYS MAN (winner of the Delaware Park Arabian Cup Juvenile).
